Summer's Over, But Relaxation Time Isn't!

Now that most students are heading back to school and the fall season is about to begin, you might find yourself more stressed and tired than before. Whether you're working or going to school, finding time to let your hair down and relax is still important. For when you feel like there's just no way for you to catch a break, check out these few tips on how you can work on relaxing at your desk this fall season. 1. Breathe This step may seem easy and thoughtless, but it's not as simple as it sounds. We breathe nonstop in order to survive, but take a few seconds to do some deep breathing exercises to relax your mind and body. Sit straight up with both feet flat on the floor, and on the edge of your chair seat so your body is not pressed against the chair back. Inhale to a count of three then exhale to a count of six. Repeat five to ten times, and you'll instantly feel more energized than before! 2. Massage Your Hands Although we can't give ourselves a full body relaxation massage at work or school, we can start simple with our hands and arms. Take a break from typing or writing to hydrate, soften, and nourish tired, dry hands with a hand lotion like Elemis' British Botanical Hand & Nail Butter. Bonus points for a nice, aromatic scent that will linger for you to enjoy! 3. Soothe Tired Eyes Staring at a computer or concentrating on lectures all day will definitely leave your eyes tired and droopy. Take a break and apply some of Eminence's Cucumber Eye Gel, which will instantly soothe and reduce puffiness. Hydrate, tone, and revitalize, and improve the overall appearance of your tired-looking eyes! 4. Refresh Your Face Another must-have item for your desk is a facial mist, perfect for a little boost of energy when you can feel yourself getting tired! Jurlique's Lavender Hydrating Mist is the perfect on-the-go refresher, with a calming lavender scent, and hydrating antioxidant properties.
